Recently, the National Museum of History has exhibited 1700 pieces of "national treasures" at home and abroad, covering an area of nearly 6000 square meters, using the four exhibition halls of South 6, 7, 8 and 9, as well as the preface hall, the south three floor platform and the corridor public area. They include Han Xizai's Night Banquet, Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, Women's History Proverbs, Hairpin Ladies, Night White, Five Cattle, Lucky Crane, and so on. Besides, they also moved the five Chinese grottoes listed in the World Cultural Heritage List and among the eight largest grottoes in the world to an indoor exhibition.
This exhibition consists of three parts, namely, "protection from generation to generation", "eternal immortality and universal treasure" and "innovation and transformation into a boundless realm". It presents the rich achievements of ancient Chinese painting reflected in the "Chinese painting system of previous dynasties" by means of images, words, videos, new media and other diversified display techniques.
The centralized appearance of more than 1700 published proof files of fine paintings of previous dynasties is a gathering of domestic collections and the "national treasures" of Chinese paintings scattered around the world, allowing the "national treasures" to go home in this way.
In the past, our exhibitions were scattered, so we couldn't see the works collected overseas. It is precisely because of the project team of "The Painting Series of Chinese Past Dynasties" that we can focus on the paintings of the same dynasty, the same school, the same painter and the same theme that are collected in different places in the exhibition.
The traditional culture has become "alive" and entered the history of Chinese painting based on works, which not only brings the public closer to tradition, but also makes us feel the charm of art+technology.
