Ding Jianping, Member of the International Federation of Literature and Art

The abbot of Foguang Temple, Master Wansheng, is named Shi Wansheng and commonly known as Ding Jianping. Born in November 1963. Master Wansheng practices calligraphy at a young age, inherits traditional Chinese medicine and Fanbai music from his ancestors, practices medicine in the village, and brings back the spring with his skillful hands, relieving the people of one side. After officially becoming a monk in 2000, he delved into the scriptures and had a good understanding. In 2003, he abandoned his residence as a temple, practiced Mahayana, and expanded his horizons to all sentient beings. The calligraphy of Master Wansheng is also comprehensive and unpredictable due to the practice of Buddhism. Sometimes it is thick and sometimes magnificent, flowing like clouds and flowing water. He writes in an unintentional place and strokes with a brush, creating a posture of eternal life. The Zen meaning in it is unforgettable. The calligraphy of a mage is the crystallization of decades of cultivation and wisdom. Those who receive it respectfully worship and receive the supreme blessings. In 2019, Master Wansheng established the Zen Rhyme Calligraphy and Painting Academy and served as the dean. Master Wansheng has achieved outstanding artistic achievements, and his calligraphy works have won first prize and other awards in the "Craftsmanship Inheritance Craftsman" Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Competition. In 2023, the calligraphy works of Master Wan Sheng were reviewed and published as official stamps by the national regulatory authorities and Macau Post.

Master Wansheng is currently a member of the Hebei Buddhist Association, the Vice President of the Dingzhou Buddhist Association, a member of the 7th and 8th CPPCC of Dingzhou City, a inheritor of Buddhist music from the intangible cultural heritage of Dingzhou Foguang Temple in Hebei Province, a member of the Hebei Calligraphy Association, a member of the Dingzhou Calligraphy Association, a host of the Dingzhou Foguang Temple, an invited expert for calligraphy and painting art practitioners, and a representative of villagers from Shizhuang Village in Dingzhou City.
