First of all, thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedule to attend the opening ceremony and apprenticeship ceremony of Professor Yan Yuhua's disciple, Master Jixing.

December 9th, 2023, is a day worth celebrating, and we will witness together the inheritance of this profound and excellent traditional Chinese culture!

Yan Yuhua, born in 1968, pen names include Yi Chan, Miao Hua Ju Shi, etc. Founder of Inverted Calligraphy and Painting. Creator of three Guinness records. Currently a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Art, a member of the Chinese Association for the Promotion of Traditional Culture, a member of the Chinese Martial Arts Association, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, Art Committee Member of the Daoist Calligraphy and Painting Academy of the Chinese Taoist Association, Director of the Chinese Artists Association, State Guest Special Calligrapher and Painter of the State Council, Honorary President of the Korean Calligraphy and Stele Forest Association, President of the Taiji Five Elements Cultural Research Association, Honorary President of the US China Science and Technology Education Association, and Honorary Chairman of the World Association of Yi Studies, The Belt and Road cultural image ambassador, national first-class artist, national senior craft artist, part-time professor of Henan University of Technology, president of Taiji Calligraphy and Painting Academy.

Fan Hongxing, born in Jiaozuo, Henan, is a descendant of Fan Zhongyan. He was born in 1984 and serves as the Vice President of the Tai Chi Painting and Calligraphy Academy, Executive Director of the Central Plains Branch of the Tai Chi Painting and Calligraphy Academy, Leader of the Tai Chi Five Elements Extreme Star Hall, General Manager of Henan Wuwei Jiqian Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., and Senior Lecturer of Traditional Chinese Culture!

Apprentice Hou Shuyu, born in 1986, has been engaged in catering management for 15 years. He is the head of catering at Manager Meng and the owner of Xihu Roast Duck Restaurant in Jiaozuo City.

Learning is not more important than respecting one's teacher. Apprentices should treat their teachers from the depths of their hearts, just like their own parents. We should start with our usual words and actions, and have a positive attitude towards learning, being humble and rigorous; Gentle and friendly in life, polite and humble. I hope you respect your teacher and value your education. In the future, you will always remember the guidance teacher who preaches, teaches, and answers your questions for you!

Hou Shuyu offered tea to his master, and this tea was called "Gaikou Tea", which means that from now on, it will be renamed as "Master and Mother" by Master Jixing and his wife. After the apprenticeship ceremony is held, it is equivalent to joining a teacher, and the traditional etiquette of "one day as a teacher, lifelong as a father" should be followed. Teachers should treat their beloved disciples like their own biological children, carefully imparting skills, and disciples should respect and serve their teachers like their own fathers, calling their wives "teachers' mothers". Teachers should be respected in their daily lives, and if there is anything they need to help with at home, they should take the initiative to do it. During traditional festivals, they should bring gifts to visit teachers. If a disciple achieves any results, they must report to the teacher to show that they have not forgotten the teacher's cultivation, which is called "repaying the teacher".
