Liu Dayu, the ninth generation great grandson of Liu Yong in the Qing Dynasty, with the courtesy name Shi'an and the pen name Tingsongtang, was born in Jilin City in 1969.
From a young age, he was influenced by his family, read extensively, and had a passion for painting. In his youth, he studied under Mr. Song Xincheng, a disciple of Liu Kuiling, a prominent figure in the late Qing Dynasty painting family. He learned Chinese painting of figures, animals, flowers, feathers, and landscapes, and widely absorbed various Chinese painting techniques. He later worked in art education for many years and moved to Beijing in 2013. The work has been collected by people from all walks of life at home and abroad multiple times.
I am currently a member of the China Art Association, a national first-class artist, a member of the China Academy of Literature and Painting, and a contracted artist at the Patriot Academy. In 2018, I participated in the Chinese Poetry, Literature, Painting, and Calligraphy Exhibition.
