Fan Zeng (1938 -) was born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. He joined the History Department of Nankai University in 1955, the Fine Arts History Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1957, and then moved to the Chinese Painting Department a year later; From 1962 to 1978, he worked in the Chinese History Museum, creating historical paintings, researching and drawing historical materials of ancient Chinese costumes; From 1978 to 1984, he was an associate professor of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts; In 1984, he returned to Nankai University to set up the Department of Oriental Art and served as a professor and dean. He is now a doctoral supervisor and researcher of the Chinese Academy of Arts, a tenured professor of the School of Liberal Arts of Nankai University, a doctoral supervisor of the School of Liberal Arts and the School of History, a dean of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ocean University of China, and a distinguished professor of Shandong University. He has written more than 100 kinds of works, including Fan Zeng's Poems, Zhuangzi's Manifestation, Fan Zeng's Art, 33 Fan Zeng's Proses, Lao Zhuang's Heart Interpretation, Paintings of Respecting Virtue - Fan Zeng's Meeting with the Eight Mountain People, and Words of a Great Man - Fan Zeng's New Essay.
