In ancient times, Zheng Banqiao was famous for his bamboo paintings. Today, Li Jingxiang has his own style of bamboo paintings. As we all know, bamboo is one of the four gentlemen. Because of its tall, straight, handsome and deep ancient and modern famous artists, they are eager to draw its character, but few of them become famous. With his love for bamboo, Mr. Li Jingxiang paints it vividly and interestingly with his pen and ink. "The wind shakes the green jade branches, and the dependence is like a gentleman" is the portrayal of Mr. Jingxiang's bamboo painting.

About Li Jingxiang

Li Jingxiang, born in 1955 in Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province, with outstanding people and rich artistic soil (Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province, has a long history and is now honored as the "Land of Literature" in ancient times. The mountains and rivers there once bred generations of masters. More than 20000 people in the county are good at painting, and more famous artists such as Liu Kaiqu, Zhu Dequn, Wang Zhaomin are emerging from this). Former director of the Painting and Calligraphy Office of the Great Hall of the People, member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, executive director of the World Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy, executive director of the Central State Organs Artists Association, director of the Central State Organs Calligraphers Association, consultant of the Chinese Fan Art Society, art member of the Chinese Character Museum, and full-time painter of the National Academy of Painting.

Mr. Li Jingxiang was fond of painting and calligraphy when he was young, and he was very successful. In 1973, the General Office of the Central Committee transferred Li Jingxiang to Beijing. Later, Li Jingxiang joined Wu Yuru, a knowledgeable calligrapher, to study Yan Ti calligraphy. Influenced by Master Wu Yuru's idea of "Scholars are the first to use art, then literature and art", Mr. Jing Xiang has always been modest and prudent. The characters written by him are round, vigorous, bold, clear, and magnificent. The artistic aesthetic orientation of Mr. Jingxiang's calligraphy, which is characterized by "male" representing beauty, and "vulgar" representing elegance, is dense and solemn, and seems clumsy but strange, which confirms the simple dialectical philosophy that words are like people.

However, Mr. Jingxiang's bamboo painting integrates the strokes of seal character, clerical script, line and grass in calligraphy art into the painting brush. He uses thick ink to paint the front of bamboo leaves and light ink to paint the back. He uses different ink colors to show the yin and yang sides of bamboo leaves. Through the thick and thin ink, he expresses the perspective effect of art and forms his own bamboo characteristics. Mr. Jingxiang has planted Yizhu for many years. The bamboo in his works is crisscross and leaning on each other. The branches are erect and upright, the branches and leaves are clustered, the left and right tilt harmoniously, swaying in the wind, and the posture is vigorous and elegant. He broke the traditional S composition of Chinese painting, jumped out of the traditional S composition, and formed his own unique composition style.

Focus because of love

Mr. Jingxiang said: Those who have a good idea must know bamboo. There are about 127 bamboo species in total. Bamboo grows in a unique way. If you plant a bamboo, within 3 years, it will break the ground and only grow a small bud, which seems to stop growing. In fact, bamboo has been planting its roots for three years. Three years after the root system formed an inexorable network, it grew at a rate of one meter per year. After more than 6 years of bamboo growth, you can't dig its roots. It's already everywhere.

In order to draw the unique charm of bamboo, Mr. Jingxiang has raised several kinds of bamboo at home. He looks at and plays with them every day. For sketching, people often go to the bamboo sea all over the country. The bamboo sea in Fujian is more than 100 kilometers long, and there are bamboo on both sides of the mountain road. Painting bamboo requires observing various bamboos in series, in various states and postures. Rain bamboo, what's the feeling of bamboo in rainy days. What does the windy bamboo look like. What is the performance of snow bamboo. What does bamboo look like under wind, rain, snow and frost. What do all kinds of bamboos look like in four seasons of the year. Then subdivide, what is the bamboo like in the morning and what is the bamboo like in the sunset at night. According to the trend of bamboo, the growth trend of bamboo, the characteristics and characteristics of bamboo, highlight the composition to paint. It depicts the work form of studying dark bamboo and the spirit of regarding bamboo as one's own. In the years of being together with bamboo and dating, the so-called sincerity is valuable, and the price is higher. Without the interaction and reflection of the soul and consciousness of knowing objects, how can bamboo's moral integrity and modesty be vivid in writing.

Bamboo Charm is a metaphor for human nature

Mr. Li Jingxiang is like a character. His paintings of bamboo in Changchun represent his yearning. Bamboo - indomitable, tenacious, honest and selfless, modest and upward. Bamboo is stubborn and strong. It will not be turbid in case of rain, broken in case of wind, and withered in case of snow. Its life elasticity revealed in the quiet and quiet whirling makes modest gentlemen like to trust bamboo to express their aspirations. Mr. Jing Xiang's bamboo painting principles are "four dares": one is thin, two is enough, three is pooled, and four is saved. Generally, "two dares" is enough for him to draw. If he can't draw more, he should take a moderate degree. If he can save his life, he can't draw four. This principle cannot be violated. When he draws the fourth dares, he won't draw any more.

Mr. Jingxiang said that as the saying goes, "Don't seek easy success.". What is easy to accomplish is seldom worth doing. You can't help but gain wisdom. Your achievements in calligraphy and painting today are not only due to your hard work, but also due to your dedication. Along with calligraphy and painting, there is also the simple thought of Mr. In the era when people were evil, their hearts were full of flattery, and they were just a few honest people, my husband often warned his colleagues: as an artist and an ambassador of traditional culture, you must have a heart of bodhisattva, kindness, and tolerance. We must be good at observing everything in the world and look at the world with good eyes. Your works are the portraiture of your inner world, and no hypocrisy or pride is allowed. Be a person who pursues beauty all his life and always touches himself and others because of kindness. Only in this way can your works have the spirit and artistic charm of moving the times, historical penetration and eternal artistic appeal.
