Honorary Chairman of Zhang Ruogu International Federation of Literature and Art

          Zhang Ruogu, born in 1971, was originally named Zhang Zhiyuan and is known as the "Dafengtang Sect Member". I have studied painting since childhood and have been engaged in research on traditional Chinese painting for more than 30 years. When I was young, I studied flowers and birds under the guidance of Wang Xuetao. In 1995, Zhang Ruogu became his teacher under Liang Shunian, a renowned figure in traditional Chinese painting and a talented disciple of Zhang Daqian.

          Under the careful guidance of Master Liang Shunian, I have a deep understanding of Zhang Daqian's artistic style and techniques, as well as systematic theoretical guidance from Mr. Yang Xiaoyang at the Chinese Painting Academy. Painting techniques have advanced rapidly, combining the strengths of Eastern and Western painting to form their own unique style.

         Zhang Ruogu's landscape paintings are derived from tradition, blending the strength of the Northern School and the beauty of the Southern Sect, forming a unique and vigorous style of painting. Especially in Mr. Zhang Daqian's four unique techniques of splashing ink, splashing colors, Daqianhe, and Maiden, he does not let his predecessors down. The strong and majestic pines depicted in his works are full of personality symbols, which not only serve as a sustenance for his life philosophy but also reflect the spirit of the times. In terms of creation, we integrate the past and present, learn by analogy, and explore the works of excellence, with an elegant and interesting atmosphere. He is not afraid of hardships and fame and fortune, pursuing the artistic realm of harmony between heaven and man, which has created his strong artistic strength and formed a magnanimous, majestic, simple, and elegant Daqian painting style. His works accurately reproduce Mr. Zhang Daqian's artistic world, and are renowned in the current Chinese painting world.
