Leng Jun (1963-), born in Sichuan, graduated from the Art Department of Hankou Branch of Wuhan Normal University. He is a contemporary Chinese surrealist oil painter, Vice Chairman of the 8th Hubei Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Researcher at the Oil Painting Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Painting, National First Class Artist, and Member of the Chinese Artists Association.

Cold Army began producing lithographs in 2001; In May 2009, he officially signed as a painter at Beijing Yuhua Gallery (Fulton Gallery); Lifetime Art Advisor; Current Vice President of Wuhan Art Academy; In 2013, the "Boundless Travelers - Cold Army Chinese Painting" tour was launched in Han. The biggest characteristic of his works is extreme realism, with no vivid images and delicate and nuanced images. His works have participated in numerous major exhibitions both domestically and internationally, and have won several national art exhibition awards. He is renowned both domestically and internationally and is a very influential young artist in mainland China.

On July 15, 1963, Leng Jun was born in Dazhu, Sichuan.

In 1984, graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Art at Hankou Branch of Wuhan Normal University.

In November 1991, the work "Wood Bones" was selected for the 1991 Chinese Oil Painting Annual Exhibition.

In April 1994, the work "Cultural Relics - New Product Design" participated in the China Oil Painting Centennial Exhibition.

In 1997, the work "Century Scenery III" participated in the exhibition of the Chinese Oil Painting Society.

In November 1999, participated in the "Chen Yifei, Chen Yanning, and Cold Army Oil Painting Joint Exhibition" in Guangzhou; In December, the oil paintings "Five pointed Star", "Century Landscape IV", "Cultural Relics - New Product Design", and "Monument" participated in the "1997-1999" Century Gate Invitation Exhibition.

In May 2000, the "Cold Army Art Exhibition" was held at the Shenzhen Art Museum; In October, I accompanied a delegation from the Chinese Artists Association to Japan for an academic visit.

In 2002, six works including the oil painting "Toolbox" series participated in the Chinese Oil Painting Triennial.

In September 2003, the work "Century Landscape IV" participated in the Beijing International Art Biennale; In October, the oil painting "Pyramid" was selected for the third China Oil Painting Exhibition.

In November 2004, he went to Tokyo to attend the "Cold Army Yang Jinxing Painting Exhibition" held by the Japan China Friendship Association.

In 2005, the "Cold Army Sketching" art exhibition was held at the Literature and Art Center, and the "Cold Army New Works Exhibition" was held at the Guangdong Art Museum.

In September 2008, the oil painting "Portrait of Xiaotang" participated in the Beijing International Art Biennale.

In October 2009, the oil painting "Sky Light" participated in the judges' exhibition of the 11th National Art Exhibition.

In April 2011, the "Live Cold Army" art exhibition was held at the Hubei Art Literature and Art Center; In June, he was appointed as a researcher at the Oil Painting Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Painting. [10]

In December 2010, the oil painting "Portrait of Xiaojiang" participated in the 7th Anniversary Exhibition of the Chinese Realistic Painting School.

In August 2012, the oil painting "Rent Collection Academy" was invited to participate in the parallel exhibition of the first Xinjiang Contemporary Art Biennale; In October, a solo exhibition of Leng Jun's oil paintings titled "Restriction and Freedom" was held in Beijing.

In January 2013, a solo exhibition of Leng Jun's oil paintings titled "Restriction and Freedom" was held in Haikou, Hainan; In April, a solo exhibition of Leng Jun's oil paintings titled "Restriction and Freedom" was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu; In June, the oil painting "Renting House" participated in the parallel exhibition of the 55th Venice Biennale, and went to France to participate in the "Art Tour of the Palace of Versailles Charity Week". The printmaking work "The Book of Saints" and the oil painting work "Mutation - A Spiked Spoon" were exhibited; In September, participated in the joint exhibition of Chinese visual and contemporary concrete oil painters; In October, a solo exhibition of Leng Jun's oil paintings titled "Restriction and Freedom" was held in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi; In November, a duo exhibition of Leng Jun and Luo Min's oil paintings titled "Restriction and Freedom" was held in Shanghai; In December, the oil paintings "Portrait Phase - Xiaotang" and "Portrait Phase - Xiaojiang" were exhibited at the Hubei Art Museum.

In January 2014, participated in the Wuhan Dafen Joint Art Exchange Exhibition; In March, the oil painting "Tianguang" participated in the "Chinese Connotation - Contemporary Chinese Works and Centennial Looking Back Exhibition of Chinese Oil Painting" held at the Wuhan Art Museum, and the oil painting "Renting Academy" participated in the "Yihua" Wuhan Eight Person Exhibition at the China Art Museum; In April, a solo exhibition of Leng Jun's oil paintings titled "Restriction and Freedom" was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang; In May, a solo exhibition was held at the Hangzhou Art Expo, and the oil painting "Rent Collection Academy" participated in the "Free Painting" Wuhan Eight Person Exhibition at the Wuhan Art Museum; In June, the "Craftsmanship and Unique Rhyme - Cold Army Art Exhibition" opened at the Dragon Art Exhibition in Pudong, Shanghai; In November, participated in the "10th Anniversary of the Chinese Realistic Painting School" at the China Art Museum; In December, participated in the "Sui Han Oil Painting Masters Invitation Exhibition" at the Chengfeng Art Museum in Zhuhai, Guangdong.

In March 2015, ink and wash works participated in the "Ink and Wash Soup Lake - Hubei Contemporary Chinese Painting Invitation Exhibition" and held the "Integration of China and the West - Cold Army Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition"; In April, the "Guo Runwen, Cold Army Oil Painting Printmaking Exhibition" was held, and porcelain paintings participated in the "2015 First Chinese Porcelain Painting Biennale"; In May, oil painting works exhibited at the exhibition "Looking Back and Looking Ahead"; In August, porcelain paintings were exhibited at the "Jiangcheng Eight Friends Painting Porcelain Exhibition".

In 2017, he served as the Vice Chairman of the 8th Presidium of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

In November 2020, he was elected as a member of the 5th Oil Painting Art Committee of the Chinese Artists Association.
