Su Shishu, Member of the International Calligrapher's Association

Su Shishu, born in March 1949, is an independent member of the Manchu ethnic group and the Chairman of the 7th China Calligraphers Association.

Deputy Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Room of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Librarian of the Central Museum of Culture and History, Honorary President of the Cultural Relics Publishing House, Honorary Director, Doctoral Supervisor, and Professor of the Calligraphy Institute of the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University.

On February 2, 2022, participated in the "Hundred Flowers Welcoming Spring" evening party and paid New Year's greetings on behalf of the Chinese Calligraphers Association with Sun Xiaoyun and others.

Su Shishu had a passion for calligraphy and seal cutting since childhood. When he was young, he studied under Mr. Liu Boqin, and later became a successful teacher in middle and young age. Engaged in the creation and research of calligraphy and seal cutting, and studied Han Dynasty portrait bricks, stones, as well as historical inscriptions and rubbings. I am proficient in both calligraphy and various genres, and I am skilled in using chicken hair as a seal script with distinctive features; The flowing grass has a strong charm. Seal cutting is a tradition of Qin, Fa, and Han, embodying one's own meaning in ancient customs.

Editor-in-chief of "Calligraphy Series", "Chinese Calligraphy Art", "Complete Collection of Chinese Calligraphy", and "Grand View of Classic Calligraphy by Famous Writers of All Dynasties". In 2007, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held an exhibition titled "Writing Harmony and Watching Homeland - Su Shishu's Gold and Stone Calligraphy Education Exhibition". In 2009, the China Art Museum held an exhibition titled "Praising the Motherland and Promoting Culture - Su Shishu's Gold and Stone Calligraphy Report Exhibition". In 2011, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles held an exhibition titled "Spreading the Fragrance of Calligraphy and Calligraphy - Su Shishu's Reading Proverbs Calligraphy Exhibition". In 2012, the Changzhou Museum held an exhibition titled "Jiangnan Longcheng Earthly Heroes - Su Shishu's Calligraphy Art Exhibition", In 2014, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held the "Writing Chinese Character Culture and Passing on Salary - Su Shishu's Promotion of Chinese Character Experience Education Exhibition", and in 2015, the "Writing Chinese Character Culture and Passing on Salary - Su Shishu's Promotion of Chinese Character Culture Knowledge Exhibition" were held at the China Century Monument.
