Wu Yinxian (September 21, 1900 to September 7, 1994), formerly known as Wu Yincheng, was born in Fengxi Southwest Village, She County, Mount Huangshan City, Anhui Province. He was born in Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province. He is a photographer and director in mainland China.


In 1934, he shot the picture "Snail" and won the Swiss Photography Salon Honorary Award for this picture. In 1935, he co hosted his first "Painting and Photography Exhibition" with Xu Xingzhi in Shanghai; In the same year, he filmed the plot film "Children of the Wind and Cloud", which was Wu Yinxian's debut film photography. In 1938, the first scene of the documentary "Yan'an and the Eighth Route Army" was filmed at the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor in central Shaanxi. In 1943, the documentary "Nanniwan" was completed. In 1945, the first photography training course was held at the foot of Baota Mountain in Yan'an. In 1949, he began serving as the director of the Northeast Film Studio. In 1952, the picture "Bird feeder" was taken. In 1955, he served as the Vice Dean and Director of the Photography Department at Beijing Film Academy. In 1963, he served as the chief photographer for the plot film "Dr. Bethune". In 1970, he served as a member of the Cultural Group of the State Council and Vice President of the Central 57 Art University, leading the teaching work of the Film Department. In 1982, served as the photography director for the plot film "Camel Xiangzi". In 1988, it was included in the "World Who's Who" of the Cambridge International Biography Center in the United Kingdom. In 1990, the group photo "Without the Communist Party, No New China" taken by him won the "Special Honor Award" at the 16th National Photography Art Exhibition.


On the morning of September 7, 1994, Wu Yinxian passed away at the age of 94.
