BRICS Artist - Tian Hongguo

Tian Hongguo, styled Guofu, also known as Yangguang Scholar, male, Han ethnicity, was born in September 1972 in Kaizhou, Chongqing. He holds a PhD in art, is a master of poetry, a master of running script, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Sciences. In December 2023, he was appointed as honorary chairman by the International Federation of Literary and Art Circles. He is a BRICS artist from five countries and resides in the urban area of Chongqing.

Tian Hongguo has been fond of calligraphy and painting since childhood, and has a great talent for language. He often indulges in the rhythmic beauty of the pronunciation, form, and meaning of Chinese characters. I have a passion for writing and am particularly fond of poetry, songs, and music. I have published nearly a hundred poems in national level journals! Especially in sync with the current era of politics, economy, culture, diplomacy, technology, propaganda, and education, works have a strong influence! Original News Poetry! At the age of 8, he began to copy ancient calligraphy and devoted himself to studying famous works such as Zheng Banqiao, Ouyang Xun's Nine Cheng Palace, Lishu, Bian Wei, and Wang Xizhi's Lanting Preface. After more than a decade of artistic practice, Tianti Creative Calligraphy Style has been formed and has been applied for and registered with the Intellectual Property Office. Its artistic characteristics: writing against the wind, being inclusive, combining dry and moist elements, with graceful strokes, diverse character, and free movement, striving to form a new asymmetrical balance between content and plane.

The influence and artistic appeal of his works are deeply admired by experts, and can be regarded as top-notch works with strong and plump forms. I often participate in large-scale calligraphy and painting exchange activities both domestically and internationally, and have won numerous awards. Many of his works are collected by overseas friends, entrepreneurs, and calligraphy and painting enthusiasts. Award situation: In 2015, 63 ancient poems were published in "Selected Works of Contemporary Poets" (national level), becoming the co director of Chinese Poetry!

In 2017, a song titled "Wearing Your Dream" won the second prize in the National Poetry Competition.

In 2021, twelve ancient poems were selected for the "Dictionary of World Cultural Celebrities" and won the Lu Xun Literature Award. He became a specially invited international artist (senior writer) and contemporary calligrapher by the World Chinese Writers Association! Received the title of Top 10 Outstanding Artists of 2021 in the same year.

In March 2021, participated in the keynote speech of the Boao Forum for Asia titled "How to Integrate the Industrialization of Calligraphy Art into the New Era".

Appointed as a visiting professor at Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and Central Academy of Fine Arts in July 2022! Appointed as a visiting professor at the School of Arts, Oxford University, UK in October.

In March 2023, the masterpiece "Chongqing Cultural Chip" was collected as a document by the National Hall of the People, Tiananmen Square Tower, and the National Museum of China. Published and distributed as textbooks in Chinese higher art institutions. Also invited to attend the calligraphy and painting art exhibition at the 2024 Paris Olympics in France.
