Time leaves its mark - Liao Zhengding's Oil Painting and Landscape Sketching Exhibition grandly opens at Vanke Starlight Art Museum

       On the afternoon of December 23, 2023, organized by the Artists Association of the European and American Alumni Association, organized by the Starlight Art Museum, and co organized by the Alumni Association of Jiangxi Normal University, with academic support from the editorial department of "Russian Literature and Art", the "Time Leads the Seal - Liao Zhengding Oil Painting Landscape Sketching Exhibition" grandly opened at the Vanke Starlight Art Museum. Wang Tieniu, President of the Alumni Association of the European and American Alumni Association in Russia (Soviet Union), Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, Honorary Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences, Academic Host of this art exhibition, Vice President of the Artists Association of the European and American Alumni Association, Professor of the School of Art and Media at Beijing Normal University, and Curator of this art exhibition, attended and delivered speeches.

Liu Guangrong, Partner of Vanke Group in Central China, delivered the opening speech. Li Xiaoyun, Zheng Zhiyuan, and Jiang Zhigang, Vice President of Jiangxi Vanke, Ma Zhiming, Vice Chairman of Jiangxi Artists Association and Professor of Fine Arts College of Jiangxi Normal University, Luo Jian, Director of China Oil Painting Society and Professor of Art College of Nanchang University, Chen Miou, Director of Culture and Sports Department of Jiangxi Daily, and Zhang Xiaodong, Deputy Editor in Chief of Russian Literature and Art, Yang Zhi, Director and Professor of the Oil Painting Department of the School of Fine Arts at Jiangxi Normal University, Zhang Sidong, former Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum, National First Class Director, Vice Chairman of the China Performance Industry Association, and Chief Expert of Jiangxi Provincial Cultural and Performance Group, Huang Yuanpeng, Young Teacher of the Oil Painting Institute of the Chinese Academy of Art, and Yang Yuhongyi, a professional painter, attended the opening ceremony. In addition, this art exhibition has gathered the on-site gaze of cultural colleagues from all over the country and nearly a hundred art enthusiasts, making it a "feast of art" in the Chinese art community.

This exhibition features renowned artists, doctoral students in art, members of the European and American Alumni Association, Russian oil painters, deputy secretary-general of the Alumni Association of Chinese European and American Alumni Association in Russia (Soviet Union), member of the China Ethnic Minority Art Promotion Association, member of the China Anthropology and Ethnology Research Association, Jiangxi Crafts Artists, Jiangxi Artists Association, and St. Petersburg Artists Association. The latest solo exhibition by Liao Zhengding, currently teaching at the First Studio and Master's Supervisor of the Oil Painting Department of the School of Fine Arts at Jiangxi Normal University, and an Honorary Professor at the Russian National Normal University, showcases many interesting and emotional landscape works painted by Liao Zhengding in the suburbs of Puxi Jincheng, St. Petersburg, as well as local customs painted by him when he returned to his hometown of Nanchang, Jiangxi. Nearly 60 exquisite works comprehensively showcase the artist's aesthetic practices and explorations over the years, from natural mountains and rivers to urban culture, from ecological landscapes to urban landscapes, providing a valuable learning opportunity and communication platform for oil painting enthusiasts.
