Egg tempera painting, just by its name, one can guess one thing or two. It is an art form that uses eggs mixed with paint for painting. Internationally, tempera painting is known as EGG TEMPERA, which is an ancient and traditional painting technique in Europe and the precursor to oil painting. Egg tempera originated in ancient Egypt and was extremely popular during the ancient Greek and Roman periods until the entire Middle Ages, becoming the mainstream form of painting at that time. It has a long history of more than 3000 years.
I studied tempera painting techniques under the guidance of the renowned American tempera painting master Robert Wickley. Under the careful guidance of the master, I boldly innovated this ancient Western painting technique.
I fully respect the transparency of egg tempera painting and creatively use Chinese painting brushes to create, incorporating traditional Chinese painting techniques. When creating, I will slowly render layer by layer, allowing countless overlapping strokes to ultimately form the overall effect. At the same time, I painted in the form of color dots, creating a wonderful pixel like effect throughout the entire picture. When viewed up close, the picture is full of deconstructive aesthetics of the digital age like a mosaic; When the line of sight is extended to two meters away, these color points automatically synthesize clear images of surrealism. This visual magic of "line of sight programming" is like a cross temporal dialogue between classical Tampere techniques and holographic imaging technology.
In today's Chinese art world, there are less than ten artists who master traditional egg tempera painting techniques, and the exploration of incorporating pixel aesthetics into it is even more unique in the art world. Each artwork becomes an irreplaceable visual gene library - just as there are no two identical eggs in the world, each of my pixel tempera paintings is a unique artistic life form.
