He Yimin, born in Henan in 1968, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Henan University in 1989 and from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University in 2009. He studied under Zao Wou-Ki and Chen Danqing. He has been residing in Europe for many years and is renowned for his "imagery oil paintings" there. His works have been collected by numerous art institutions in Europe and North America, earning him the titles of "a rare master of Oriental imagery art following Zao Wou-Ki" and "the contemporary Zao Wou-Ki". He is currently a contracted artist of the Mercure Art Foundation in Paris, an international imagery oil painting artist, a founder of the world's imagery landscape oil painting, a Paris Olympic artist, a reviewer of the European Art Foundation, a member of the Royal Academy of Painters in the UK, a member of the European Oil Painters Association, and a director of the Overseas Chinese Artists Association.
In 2024, I was invited to visit the top six art academies in the world, namely the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, and the Berlin University of the Arts, for artistic exchanges. My international imagery oil painting "Autumn Sound" was permanently collected by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, "Clouds and Mist in the Painting" by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, and "Silent Gully" by the Berlin University of the Arts. In 2024, I was invited to participate in the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris, France, for international artistic and cultural exchanges. In 2024, my international imagery oil painting "Spring Mountain and Flower Shadow" won the Monet International Art Prize's Gold Award. He Yimin has been featured on the large screens of the world's three major squares: Times Square in New York, Nasdaq Square, and Piccadilly Circus. His works have been collected by European embassies in China, including those from France, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, Greece, and the Netherlands. In 2008, he won the Monaco Government Prize at the 22nd Monte Carlo International Art Competition. In 2009, his works were selected for the Paris Spring Salon. In 2010, he held a solo exhibition of his oil paintings and published a collection of paintings. In 2012, the fourth issue of "Chinese Oil Painting" published his essays and multiple works on traveling in the mountains and rivers. In 2013, he published a collection of contemporary oil painting imagery. In 2025, he published "Collection of Works by Famous Chinese Contemporary Artists" and other works.
