Ye Maozhong (1968 January 13, 2022), male, advertising strategy consultant at CCTV, distinguished professor at Tsinghua University, renowned marketing planning expert and brand management expert in China, and founder and chairman of Ye Maozhong's marketing planning organization.


Everyone on Earth knows that men should be cruel to themselves, and the slogan "washing up is healthier" comes from Ye Maozhong.


On January 13, 2022, Ye Maozhong passed away in Shanghai at the age of 54 due to advanced cancer. In 1968, Ye Maozhong was born in a fishing village in Taizhou, Jiangsu. When he was a child, his name was "Ye Shijin". The poor family background honed Ye Maozhong's strong personality, but he claimed that he did not love fighting since childhood. Due to his admiration for the tenacious spirit of the Red Army, he has always worn a hat with a five pointed star pattern, which has become a part of his image logo and Ye Maozhong brand.


Ye Maozhong's first job was as a "handyman" at Taizhou TV station, doing everything from drawing background boards, conducting interviews, and doing chores. At that time, the only large enterprise in Taizhou, Chunlan Group, was planning to shoot an advertising video with a budget of only 50000 yuan. However, everyone on the platform did not take it, but Ye Maozhong immediately took it. Afterwards, the Chunlan air conditioning advertisement, which was filmed in 1989 and scored six goals in one shot, was broadcast on CCTV and achieved great success. Ye Maozhong began to enter the advertising industry.


In 1997, Ye Maozhong established his own advertising company in Beijing, successively serving multiple brands such as "Holy Elephant Floor", "Arctic Velvet Warm Underwear", "True Kung Fu Fast Food", "Great Red Eagle", "Qipai Men's Clothing", "Yake V9", "361 Degree", "Red Dragon", "Ant God", etc., greatly improving the visibility and sales performance of these brands. Among them, Zhengong Fast Food has grown from several small stores in Dongguan to over 540 direct operated stores nationwide in 6 years, becoming the top brand of Chinese chain fast food in the country.


In 1996, Ye Maozhong published his first advertising book, "The Advertiser's Handbook," which was the first mainland Chinese advertising book to focus on practical operations and became a best-selling book of the year.


Ye Maozhong spent three years writing "Advertiser's Notes" and sold over 10000 copies in the first month after publication, making him a little famous in the advertising industry. When Ye Maozhong founded his own company in 1997, he already had customers who came to his doorstep.


In 2013, the book "16 Keywords of Marketing" was published, which took 3 years to create. It summarizes Ye Maozhong's 24 years of local practical experience and explores local marketing methods from 16 aspects.


On January 13, 2022, Ye Maozhong passed away in Shanghai at the age of only 54.
